The Appleton Public Arts Committee (APAC) is responsible for implementing the Art in Public Places Policy. The APAC will create recommendations for the appropriate committee of jurisdiction based upon the proposed project/request. The recommendations will be forwarded to the Common Council to further the City's commitment to the promotion, creation, and maintenance of public art as defined in this policy. The APAC is a volunteer committee that works to support the goals and strategies for increasing the prevalence of public art and placemaking.
It is important to understand that members will serve in an advisory capacity to the committees of jurisdiction.
The Committee will be made up of no more than 7 members that are appointed by the Mayor and will have staggered terms of services: 4 members with 2 year terms; 3 members with 3 year terms. The Mayor will also appoint the Chair of this Committee.

Meetings:
The Appleton Public Arts Committee meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in Committee Room 6A/B.
