Open Door Community Health Centers invites you to begin an exciting career as a Medical Assistant. You will become an essential member of our community medical team, aiding patients and doctors in providing quality care while developing new professional skills. Your daily responsibilities include assisting providers in the exam room, implementing treatment and care orders, gathering and documenting patient information, checking vital signs, and offering follow‑up care and patient education.

You must maintain cleanliness and organization, keeping all medical areas ready at all times.

Key qualifications: excellent interpersonal skills; sound judgment under high stress; basic computer proficiency. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program and/or eligibility for certification as a Medical Assistant (including CPR, venipuncture/dermal stick, and injection) is required. Experience in a clinic setting is a plus.

Compensation

• MA Trainee: $25.00 to $28.87 per hour
• MA I: $28.00 to $32.35 per hour
• MA II: $29.50 to $34.10 per hour
• Hmong and Spanish speakers who pass a language exam receive an additional $0.75 per hour.
