Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in a school setting near Milton, WI. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and will be dedicated to enhancing students fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills. The OT will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support the development and learning of students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students motor, sensory, and functional abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Therapy and Intervention: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills.
- Collaboration: Partner with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and support students overall educational experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of students progress, therapy sessions, and treatment plans. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation.
- Consultation: Offer guidance and support to school staff and families on strategies to enhance students participation in classroom activities and daily routines.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Wisconsin.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Knowledge of current assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and special education regulations.
