Plasma Center Medical Staff - Paramedic (EMT-P), AEMT, or EMT-I (Benefits Day One) at Bio Life Plasma Services.

Appleton, WI.
You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including utilization of center physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings, medical or technical issues, donor safety and eligibility concerns.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents, determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance as appropriate.
- Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified as an EMT-Paramedic in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successfully complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- U.S. hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79, dependent on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
- Eligibility for short‑term incentives.
