As a Pharmacy Technician you support pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately, and that caring service exceeds patient expectations.
Responsibilities- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating heartfelt moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone.
- Offer immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone, demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.
- Perform inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership – e.g., putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stock, and waiting‑bin inventories.
- Engage in a high‑performing team, embracing a growth mindset, seeking feedback, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to stores in the market for shift coverage.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, including controlled‑substance dispensing and record‑keeping.
- Deliver additional patient health‑care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntary staffing of off‑site clinics) where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification.
- When eligible, support immunizations: complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status, prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients about vaccine importance, monitor for and report adverse reactions, and track vaccine supplies.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- Minimum age of 16 if no specific state minimum, and high school diploma or equivalent if no state minimum educational requirement.
- Capacity for regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong focus and attention to detail for prescription information and labeling accuracy.
- Customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate friendly and effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to compute dosage quantities and total supplies.
- Problem‑resolution ability, choosing the best action in challenging interactions.
- Physical capabilities: mobility, ability to stand for extended periods, lift items up to 20lbs, reach overhead, and perform repetitive finger tasks.
- 1‑3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer‑service setting.
- Willingness to work in the home store and across markets as business needs require.

Part‑time - Pay range: $16.50 – $25.00 per hour (base hourly rate or annual full‑time salary on the job grade).
