Radiation Oncology – Medical Physicist (Hybrid)
Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
Work Model: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On Call: None
Proximity Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of the main office
Job SummarySupports all physics aspects of patient treatment including consultation with radiation oncologists, calculation of radiation doses, design and fabrication of treatment aids, and assurance of the accuracy of all treatment parameters.
Responsibilities- Review and validate radiation treatment plans to ensure accuracy and physician intent.
- Participate in chart rounds and clinical reviews to support safe, effective treatment delivery.
- Oversee calibration, testing, and performance of radiation therapy equipment.
- Evaluate equipment lifecycle, recommend upgrades, and support acceptance testing.
- Develop and maintain QA protocols and unit calculation checks.
- Consult with physicians and provide technical guidance to clinical staff.
- Support training and education of new staff and radiation therapy students.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold the highest safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in Medical Physics (CAMPEP‑approved program preferred).
- Board certified or board eligible strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
- No experience required.
Master's degree in Medical Physics.
Physical Requirements- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
- Diagnostic Medical Physics – American Board of Radiology (A ).
- Medical Health Physics (MHP) Certification – American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP).
- Member of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (MCCPM).
- Therapeutic Medical Physics – American Board of Radiology (A ).
