We have a great opportunity to help a wonderful family is seeking an experienced CNA to work in their home caring for their adult daughter. This individual has complex care needs which include ventilator assistance, Tracheostomy care, bowel prep., GJ tube feeding, and assistance with all activities of daily living. Below, please read a more detailed list of care needs. Full training will be provided by current care staff and family.

- Assist with medical appointment

- Supply and equipment maintenance
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) users and non-verbal individuals
- The client utilizes a power wheelchair; familiarity with its operation is advantageous. The selected candidate should also be capable of driving a wheelchair-accessible van.
Due to the complexity of the client’s care needs, the interview process includes a 4‑hour job shadowing opportunity with an existing nurse to evaluate whether the role is a good fit. This shadowing period is unpaid and takes place before any job offer, ideally between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
TrainingFollowing the hire, training will be compensated. The duration of the training will vary based on prior nursing experience.
This position is funded through a Medicaid program known as Self‑Direction. As a self‑directed nurse, you will be employed directly by the family and compensated through Medicaid funds. Please note that this program does not provide the benefits typically associated with agency or larger employers, such as insurance or paid time off. However, the position offers flexibility, the opportunity to build a close one‑on‑one relationship with the client, and the chance to engage with a friendly family in their home setting while potentially participating in family gatherings, vacations (to Arizona), and meals.
Hours8a‑8p 2‑3 shifts per week. The family can be flexible and will entertain any availability offered as long as it’s consistent.
Pay$20‑$27/hour
