Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
Work Schedule
Casual/Per Diem position; hours as needed.
LocationAscension NE Wisconsin
- St. Elizabeth Campus, Appleton, WI.
- Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Scan and/or enter specimen and patient information
- Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
- Troubleshoot any specimen‑related issues
- Replenish test bench supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
An optional phlebotomy training course will be provided for interested candidates.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year or more of medical/lab or production experience
- Currently enrolled in an MLT or MLS program
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Accurate identification of specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- High level of attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and meet established turnaround times
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits:

Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan.
Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
