Part-Time or PRN Relief Pharmacist

Wood River Pharmacy is a well-established and community-oriented retail pharmacy serving the residents of Grantsburg, WI and its surrounding areas. We take pride in providing personalized care, fostering a friendly atmosphere, and ensuring the well-being of our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused community retail pharmacist to join our team part time or on a PRN basis.

Position Overview

As a Community Retail Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy's commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to our community. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on proper medication use, collaborating with healthcare providers, and maintaining a positive and customer-friendly environment.

Responsibilities Medication Dispensing

Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications in accordance with federal and state laws. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of medications.

Patient Counseling

Provide personalized medication counseling to patients, addressing questions and concerns. Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence.

Collaboration

Work closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient care. Communicate with physicians to clarify prescription details and resolve any discrepancies.

Customer Service

Foster a welcoming and customer-friendly environment. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Medication Management

Monitor medication inventories and order supplies as needed. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the safety and efficacy of stocked medications.

Compliance

Stay up-to-date with federal and state pharmacy regulations. Adhere to and enforce pharmacy policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and pharmacy laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist.
  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred.
