Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

General Job Summary

As a physical therapist assistant with Ortho Cincy, you will be responsible for treating patients according to a treatment plan established by the physical therapist on your team. You will also be collaborating with team members to assist patients with a full recovery after surgery or injury.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • State license to practice as a physical therapist assistant
  • CPR certification
Responsibilities
  • Understand and adhere to state practice act
  • Maintain state licensure and complete continuing education regularly to stay current on the practice of physical therapy to best serve our patients
  • Treat patients in need of skilled physical therapy services with proper documentation to support medical necessity of treatment under the direction of a licensed PT
  • Facilitate open communication with physicians, co‑workers and patients to provide the best comprehensive care possible for the community we serve
  • Participate in chart audits and review of care plans with colleagues to facilitate best practices within our organization
