The Surgical Technologist Extern at MUSC Florence reports to the nurse manager and gains supervised clinical experience in the operating room, bridging classroom learning with real-world practice and preparing for certification and employment as a surgical technologist.
Under supervision, you will perform pre-, intra-, and post-operative duties, with a target of ~400 hours of hands-on OR time and a schedule that typically includes weekend buddy calls to reflect real OR workflow.
