Role Overview: A part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct therapy services in home health settings, assisting physicians and physical therapists to deliver patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Assess, treat, and educate patients to improve or maintain function, relieve pain, and promote independence. Communicate regularly with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members, and document patient progress and treatments accurately. Collaborate on care plans, prepare discharge instructions, and participate in in-service programs. Ensure confidentiality, adhere to professional standards, and report patient observations promptly.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduation from an accredited PTA program, current unrestricted state license, proficiency in assessments and documentation, and compliance with policies.
