Job Description
The Spa Attendant will greet, check‑in, and escort clients to designated spa areas, assist with the preparation of facilities for spa services, collect payments for services rendered, answer incoming phone calls, book appointments, and upsell guests on products and/or services. The attendant will ensure overall cleanliness of spa and salon areas.
- Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with external and internal guests and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions while working harmoniously with team members.
- Provides friendly, efficient, and accurate service during guest check‑in and checkout, gives guests instructions and expectations for scheduled treatments, and provides instruction for the fitness center.
- Monitors and maintains organization and cleanliness of work area, reception area, fitness center, and treatment suites; ensures all supplies and amenities are stocked and available to guests (slippers, robes, towels, linens, beverages, etc.); stocks and sanitizes treatment suites and discards soiled linens.
- Keeps an accurate cash bank, makes change, handles sales transactions, and properly distributes cash gratuities at the end of each shift; processes gift cards, sales, and redemption.
- Maintains and monitors inventory par levels and notifies Hotel Leadership when ordering is necessary.
- Schedules and confirms appointments in a timely manner, between numerous service providers; provides accurate knowledge of all spa services to inquiring guests.
- Reports any safety hazards to Hotel Leadership.
- Promotes and sells spa services, and meets monthly sales quotas, if applicable.
- Assists in other job functions, as needed.
- Superior guest service skills and excellent communication skills required.
- Knowledge of fitness and equipment preferred.
- Computer and phone skills a must.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, up to and including weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Ability to work and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through previous guest service experience in a guest‑facing role involving high‑profile guest contact, or through two months of on‑the‑job training.
