The HR Operations Sr. Specialist will oversee the Human Resource function at a production facility, which includes planning, directing, and providing HR guidance to plant operations leadership, supervisory staff, and employees. This will include employment policies, compensation, training, labor relations, employee relations, and communications.
Main Responsibilities- Supports the development and execution of the plant’s community engagement strategy to align with corporate values and strengthen employer brand and partnerships.
- Interprets the labor agreement and company policies to support leaders in managing performance and discipline for hourly and salaried employees
- Plans, manages, and executes employee events to support engagement, recognition, and workplace culture initiatives
- Supports Employment Value Proposition initiatives including succession planning, onboarding, development of career paths, and compensation structures.
- Assists employees on resolving work related concerns.
- Develops university recruiting strategies, builds strong talent pipelines and develops relationships with universities
- Supports Operations Managers on initiatives to improve employee relations, work environment, training, onboarding, recruitment, administrative processes and safety.
- Provides training to Supervisors and Employees on new policies and initiatives.
- Ensures employment related decisions are in compliance with company policies, State and Federal laws.
- Researches industry trends and provides recommendations to ensure company is using best practices.
- Work as a partner with the HR Operations to ensure consistency in policies and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 4-7 years’ Human resources generalist in a manufacturing or technical environment experience preferred
- PHR Certification preferred
- Organizational development experience including performance management, compensation, succession planning and job profiles
- Experience in manufacturing/hourly workforce setting,
- Strong public speaking skills,
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
