The Director of IT will manage and direct the Company’s information technology (IT) operations and all related functions for a platform of companies for a local strategic ownership group, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support services. This role will work with senior leadership and third-party IT resources to serve the current team of employees as well as support strategic organizational growth, both organically and through acquisitions.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead development and implementation of processes and applications for the organization’s IT systems.
- Establish relationships with external IT vendors in order to direct and support their activities and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics as needed.
- Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitate IT security audits or investigations.
- Implement company-wide technology updates and facilitate employee training on new features.
- Maintain professional and industry knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least the past 5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing IT operations and infrastructure
- Exceptional program management capability managing complex, cross‑functional portfolios
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
- Proficient in a Microsoft 365 environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
- Proven ability to manage both internal IT staff and outsourced partners or resources to ensure seamless service delivery
- Supports a client‑centered support and services; understand the client is all employees within each business unit throughout the whole organization
- Ability to collaborate with business leaders to align technology with operational goals and support business transformation efforts
- Excellent vender management skills, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and relationship development
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, delivering projects on time and within budget while improving systems and processes
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking, communication, and coaching skills
- Understanding of budgeting, cost management, and ROI on technology investments
- Effective coaching and listening skills
- Problem solver with an open‑minded approach and ability to think on one’s feet
- Must be able to work on‑site to work with the IT team and each business unit.
