SQL Application Specialist

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and self‑driven SQL Application Specialist to join our growing IT and warehouse operations team. This role is ideal for a technical problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys building creative solutions, and can translate business and warehouse needs into actionable technical specifications.

• Troubleshoot WMS issues, diagnose root causes, and escape to vendors when necessary.
• Build solutions within the Itopia low‑code platform, including modifying business logic and designing custom SQL‑based views.
• Support the upcoming migration from on‑prem Tecsys to a SaaS cloud model.
• Perform system updates, enhancements, and maintenance to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Reverse‑engineer existing configurations during 3‑6 months of hands‑on training with Jonah.
• Gather requirements from warehouse and business stakeholders and transform them into clear technical specifications.
• Design tools, queries, and workflows that improve operational efficiency and WMS usability.
• Customize Excel‑like operational interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Work closely with warehouse operations to understand day‑to‑day workflows and pain points.
• Partner with IT teams to support integrations with enterprise systems such as CRM, eCommerce, BI tools, and ERP platforms.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects as a subject matter expert in WMS functionality.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Experience with SQL databases, queries, and low‑code environments.
• 5+ years of technical experience supporting WMS or similar systems.
• Experience administering Epicor Eclipse ERP or Tecsys WMS (a strong plus).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and operate independently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Appleton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $/yr.
