Role Overview
J. J. Keller is seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Sr.
Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing our virtual server and virtual desktop environment, including system development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support.
This role can work an onsite or hybrid schedule; candidates must have the ability to work onsite at our headquarters in Neenah, WI.
Primary Technologies- VMware vSphere
- Design, deploy, and manage virtual server and virtual desktop environment (VMWare, Microsoft)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization, including VM provisioning, migration, and performance tuning.
- Monitor and optimize performance of virtual machines and host systems.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Operations, and Security teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain documentation of system and storage configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure data security and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for storage-related incidents and service requests.
- Provide leadership and direction for other team members on projects.
- 6+ years experience in network infrastructure in a technician or administrator role
- 3+ years of virtualization experience in a VMWare environment
- Experience training and mentoring others
- Bachelor's Degree in computer or technology-related field
- In lieu of bachelor's degree, may consider equivalent education and/or experience
Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of current networking, remote access and security technologies
- Understanding of ISO 27001 standards
- Demonstrated project management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with technology and vendors as required
- Ability to research technology related topics and communicate recommendations to other technical staff members
- Ability to work constructively within a team environment to identify and resolve issues impacting productivity

Physical RequirementsWork is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
