Job Description About the role
Responsible for administering and configuration of cloud-based core platform and services. This role will also work closely with leadership to understand business requirements, identify priorities and develop roadmap and implementation plans for cloud-based platform solutions
Key Job Accountabilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable & secure cloud infrastructure & platform services such as Azure Backups, DR, VMs, VNets, Gateways, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Azure App Services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Foundry, and OpenAI services
- Develop & use automation technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, JSON etc. to include CI/CD Pipeline principles and methodologies
- Implement observability tools to monitor cloud platform & solution health, performance, and reliability
- Manage Entra security compliance & best practices for data encryption, PIM, Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA, Enterprise & Registered Apps, and identity management
- Analyze and translate our business requirements into technical requirements
- Research and present new cloud technologies and recommendations which best fit the business and IT objectives while aligning with the overall organization’s strategy
- Will be primary support of all Microsoft Azure platform services and other third‑party cloud application integrations
- Identify and work with BG to enhance tools, script automation, or other activities that will enable the team to work more efficiently and speed to accelerate issue identification and resolution.
- Mentor and engage others while helping guide the organizations strategies working directly with management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role (Azure Cloud Engineer, Azure Cloud Specialist, Azure Cloud Platforms, Azure Cloud Security)
- Strong ability to collaborate with other project teams on technical solutions and help improve Amcor service.
- Must maintain a deep technical knowledge of data center technologies including:
Active Directory, Azure, Windows Server, Virtualization, Storage, and Network frameworks - Ability to work with leadership to establish cloud technology roadmaps, clear release strategies, and business awareness campaigns
- Ability to create technical design documentation and task‑level project plans for the business, leadership, and technical team members
- Help identify and communicate risks (business, application, technical) associated with our cloud platforms and solutions
- Ability to learn and work with new and emerging technologies
- Must maintain the highest‑level of customer service to help resolve complex problems from on‑premise to cloud solutions
- Understanding of ITIL practices, change control etc.
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communications skills
- Demonstrate analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, and Perform Break/fix activities, engineering, complex implementations
- Must establish, document, and help the organization follow standards, procedures, and processes
- Provide recommendations with respect to cloud migrations and prepare technical implementation roadmaps for cloud adoption
