Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Cybersecurity Team, providing mentorship, guidance, and oversight of daily operations.
  • Set and monitor the department’s standards.
  • Create and execute cybersecurity strategies that improve the efficiency and posture of IT systems and projects organization‑wide.
  • Prepare budgetary allocations and financial forecasts related to cybersecurity.
  • Manage partners, stakeholders, vendors, and third‑party solutions providers.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures and formulate a yearly organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Risk department to develop and enforce policies, conduct risk assessments and security audits, and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Implement security solutions to address identified threats.
  • Coordinate incident response and manage data breach situations.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for security incidents.
  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies.
  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for security team members.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers.
  • Manage daily operations of cybersecurity staff and activities.
  • Establish, maintain, and advocate a robust security awareness program across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Provide training and awareness programs for employees on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Risk department on incident response planning, playbooks, and execution.
  • Work with other departments to integrate security measures into all organizational aspects.
  • Report on the status of cybersecurity initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Provide input on security requirements for RFPs, SOWs, and procurement documents.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are appreciated but not required.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity.
  • Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • In‑depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
  • Initiative in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing changing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze, research, and resolve technical problems.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours and occasional travel as needed.
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements
  • Office environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Frequent use of telephone, computer, multifunction printer, and other office equipment.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing, with the ability to remain in one place or in a confined area for extended periods.
  • May travel occasionally as needed to fulfill duties.
  • High attention to detail for over 90% of work time.
  • Some work outside normal business hours.
  • Moderate lifting of up to 20 pounds; ability to move objects weighing 5 to 20 pounds for 5–10% of work time.
