Systems Administrator, IT Project Manager
Complete Office of Wisconsin is looking for an IT Operations Administrator to oversee and regulate the technology infrastructure and operational processes of our organization's IT department in conjunction with the IT Network/Infrastructure Technician.
An IT Operations Admin will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IT team, ensuring the availability and reliability of all systems and networks, managing database and technology vendors, and implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
They must interact with customer-based personnel and IT departments to facilitate connectivity, systems interaction and data integrity.
They must ensure that the organization's IT policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with our parent company and industry standards and regulations.
IT Operations Administrator Responsibilities- Overseeing the daily operations of the IT department and ensuring that systems and networks are running smoothly.
- Learn the database structure of the PICK system and work to develop and implement policies, procedures, processes and reports to improve IT operations and increase efficiency and productivity.
- Managing technology vendors and service providers to ensure that the organization's technological needs are met. This includes writing specifications and working with vendor to test and document as well as communicating to staff all systems’ changes.
- Evaluating and implementing new technologies and systems that improve IT infrastructure and support the organization’s technology goals, as well as responding to our customers changing needs and communications.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the organization's business needs and working closely with other departments to ensure that IT is aligned with those needs.
- Ensuring that the organization's IT policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with our parent company and industry standards and regulations (GISP).
- Managing the IT budget and working with the CFO to ensure that expenses are in line with the organization's financial goals.
- Anticipating replacement of hardware and operating systems and communicating with the CFO any needs.
- Assess system performance and develop tools for improvement. Manage period closings, purges and database file integrity testing.
- Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via help desk as back up to the Network/Infrastructure Technician IT Operations Manager.
- An IT Operations Admin should have a BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT or relevant field.
- Proven experience as IT Operations Admin, experience with system installation, configuration and analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing, strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of IT professionals and drive performance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, senior management, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency and knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems to effectively manage and troubleshoot issues. Knowledge of PICK Basic system a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Problem‑solving aptitude.
