Senior Application Analyst - SAP IBP

The SAP Senior Application Analyst will work on SAP system design and configuration, upgrades, and improvements for SAP technology platforms. As the primary support contact for SAP application end-users, the analyst will identify and resolve issues arising in forecasting (IBP) and other application areas, perform impact analysis of desired changes, build and test system changes, and identify opportunities to enable business processes and requirements in forecasting and planning.

The analyst will also mentor junior analysts, support team members, and delegate activities when appropriate.

• Responsible for business systems design and configuration and for upgrades and improvements for low to medium complexity applications.
• Design and implement solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that are imaginative, thorough, and practical.
• Responsible for independent development and configuration of an assigned application.
• Identify issues that arise in the application area as well as issues that impact other application teams and work to resolve them.
• Develop new processes and procedures to meet current challenges.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Lead the estimation of enhancement or support requests.
• Guide workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical issues.
• Liaise with business systems stakeholders and software vendor implementation staff to ensure alignment of business needs with the delivery of system changes.
• Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization’s workflows; proactively identify opportunities to improve business workflow with technology improvements.
• Participate in developing documentation and conduct trainings with end users.
• Troubleshoot problems and questions and provide regular updates on status to key business stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert of assigned applications.
• Provide end‑user production support for issues entered into issue tracking systems.
• Review the status of projects and issues with project leadership.
• Assign or delegate configuration activities to other team members.
• Act as delegate for leadership regarding incident or problem resolution.
• Provide mentorship for other peers and lead the solution of problems, even outside of normal scope.
• Lead internal process design and documentation to drive continuous improvement for the IT department or team.
• Take ownership of work activities and ensure they are completed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders.
