Our client is seeking to add a Senior Casualty Claims Adjuster to their team. This individual will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of commercial casualty claims from initial investigation through final resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience handling General Liability, Commercial Auto, Property, and Bodily Injury claims while working closely with internal stakeholders, outside vendors, insurance partners, and legal counsel.
Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of commercial property, general liability, commercial auto, fleet, and bodily injury claims from first notice through settlement or closure.
- Investigate coverage, liability, damages, and claim exposure while gathering documentation necessary to support claim decisions.
- Evaluate losses, establish and adjust reserves, and negotiate settlements within delegated authority.
- Coordinate claim activity with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, defense counsel, medical providers, and other external partners.
- Review medical documentation, repair estimates, invoices, and other supporting records to accurately evaluate claim value.
- Maintain detailed and organized electronic claim files, ensuring timely documentation of all claim activity.
- 5+ years of commercial property and casualty claims handling experience.
- Prior experience handling General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Bodily Injury claims.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverage, liability analysis, and claim investigation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience managing an independent caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with insureds, attorneys, vendors, and internal business partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic claims management systems.
- $70,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
