Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience interpreting in educational or school environments strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new settings
  • Commitment to supporting students, faculty, and staff with diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sign language interpretation services for students, teachers, and staff within school environments
  • Accurately translate spoken language into ASL and vice versa during lessons, meetings, and school events
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop effective communication strategies
