The Language Banc (TLB), a Piedmont Global company, offers flexible, on‑call opportunities for independent contractors. We are currently seeking qualified Spanish interpreters for on‑site interpretation assignments in Hutchins, Wisconsin, to provide in‑person language services.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position for on‑site interpretation (OSI) services.

• Facilitate effective communication by accurately interpreting spoken language between parties.
• Convey messages clearly and completely, without omissions or additions, while preserving the original meaning, tone, and context.
• Provide sight translation of written materials as needed.
• Adhere to the Interpreter Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
• Serve as a cultural liaison when appropriate to help parties achieve mutual understanding.

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Native fluency in English and Spanish.
• Prior interpreting experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Completion of a 40‑hour accredited interpreter training (e.g., Bridging the Gap, The Community Interpreter training).
• Reliable transportation, insurance, and access to a mobile phone and computer.
• Up‑to‑date immunization records and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• National Certification (CCHI/CMI or NBCMI) is desired but not required.
