Daytime Freight Receiving Associate-Part Time

Job Overview

SCHEELS, a leader in the sporting goods industry, seeks a Warehouse Associate to support inventory operations.

• Unload and unpack shipping trucks
• Organize and prioritize incoming freight to efficiently and accurately receive inventory
• Examine shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages and overages, and develop and execute claims
• Distribute items to the correct Specialty Shop
• Assist the Merchandiser Team by attaching identification and price tags
• Operate pallet jack to move shipments between platforms, storage and work areas
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills
• Lead and develop a team
• Navigate a personal computer and handheld inventory computer/scanner; programs include Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400
• Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
• Maintain an orderly work space and surrounding areas
• Work the assigned schedule, typically Monday through Friday day‑time hours, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed

High school diploma or general education degree; 1–3 months of data entry experience preferred.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. May require lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally or 50 pounds frequently, with duties involving heavy physical effort.
