Job Overview
SCHEELS, a leader in the sporting goods industry, seeks a Warehouse Associate to support inventory operations.
Responsibilities- Unload and unpack shipping trucks
- Organize and prioritize incoming freight to efficiently and accurately receive inventory
- Examine shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages and overages, and develop and execute claims
- Distribute items to the correct Specialty Shop
- Assist the Merchandiser Team by attaching identification and price tags
- Operate pallet jack to move shipments between platforms, storage and work areas
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills
- Lead and develop a team
- Navigate a personal computer and handheld inventory computer/scanner; programs include Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400
- Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- Maintain an orderly work space and surrounding areas
- Work the assigned schedule, typically Monday through Friday day‑time hours, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed
- Genuine customer service orientation, treating co‑workers, customers, and partners with respect and courtesy
- Energy and sense of urgency in daily tasks and follow‑up communication
- Deep desire to become a knowledge expert in the role, applying knowledge and experience with impact
- Respect and appreciation for others and Scheels
- Arrive to work and meetings 10 minutes early

High school diploma or general education degree; 1–3 months of data entry experience preferred.
Physical Requirements /Lifting RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. May require lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally or 50 pounds frequently, with duties involving heavy physical effort.
