Logistics Specialist IV (Weekend Days) – GAC Appleton

Position to support manufacturing and logistics operations.

Ability to lead by example, train and develop a team.

Assign tasks to ensure support for all internal customer requirements in a timely, professional manner.

Demonstrate an ability to operate in a fast-paced, productive environment ensuring an efficient flow of material.

High School Diploma or GED required; 4 years experience in inventory/logistics. Expert proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Under minimal supervision, execute complex material handling, inventory coordination, and distribution tasks to support manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring efficient and accurate movement, tracking, and documentation of materials while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Optimize inventory flow and support strategic initiatives. Serve as a senior expert and mentor, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

• Process pick tickets and material requests by pulling, issuing, and transporting parts to support manufacturing, service centers, spare parts sales, backshops, and/or distribution centers.
• Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles to move materials between departments and designated locations.
• Oversee advanced material handling and inventory processes.
• Resolve complex discrepancies and ensure compliance.
• Manage international shipments and export compliance.
• Obtain CDI, Q, PQ, or RI stamp.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper data entry and use of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Corridor).
• Support AOG needs.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality throughout daily operations by following established procedures, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards.
• Handle, transport, and prepare shipment of Dangerous Goods in accordance with DOT, FAA, and other applicable standards.
• Mentor and train staff.
• Elevate discrepancies with clear communication and follow-up actions.
• Lead audits and reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to brand protection and material handling standards.
• Support inventory accuracy goals through regular and accurate cycle counting.
• Use handheld scanners for picking, putaway, and cycle count activities.

• Obtain certification to operate material handling equipment and meet all training requirements.
• Support Lean and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist in strategic planning.
• Perform other duties as required (e.g., DOT, Hazmat, Special Offloads, Customs, and Carrier requirements).

• Valid driver’s license.
• Certification to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Compliance with FAA regulations and all quality procedures including documentation.
• Lifting capacity of 50 pounds.
• Work all shifts and weekends.

This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
