Aggregate Equipment Mechanic

Overview

CAREER OPPORTUNITY: AGGREGATE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC — APPLETON, WISCONSIN

• Aggregate Equipment Mechanics are responsible for providing routine and repair maintenance on components of our aggregate operations, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing conveyors, crushing, washing, and screening plants or related systems.
• May fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or replacement parts using welders, torch sets, plasma cutters, or other specialized equipment.
• Communicate effectively and work in a team environment to provide technical assistance and collaborate on repairs.
• Service calls and travel to job sites may be required; candidates with a good driving record are preferred.
• Safety is a top priority; mechanics must work safely on all job sites around moving equipment and traffic, maintain a clean working environment, and comply with company policy and governing agencies.
• MCC, Inc. may require cross-training on other duties or tasks as assigned.

• 1-2 years mechanical experience or training preferred.
• Must provide your own basic set of tools with the ability to expand tools as needed.
• Self-motivated with independent judgment to perform tasks without supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to understand and convey clear instructions (general and technical).
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure quality of work.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to respond quickly to emergencies.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; basic math skills preferred.
• Ability to assess job site hazards and work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Valid State of Wisconsin Driver's License and satisfactory driving record preferred.
