Outage Manager - Gas Turbines

Energy client needs an Outage Manager to oversee large-scale combustion turbine project work during power plant outages in Wisconsin. This is a 12+ month project assignment that starts in July and lasts approximately one year. The qualified candidate will have outage experience related to large combustion turbines for utility power generation. This is a night shift position. This position will pay per diem for non-local candidates.

Salary: $63 - 75 per hour

Work Hours: 9pm to 7am

Education: High School

• Manage field personnel to monitor day-to-day activities, oversee contractors, ensure compliance with specifications and codes, and promote safety.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and promote safety culture.
• Monitor performance metrics, quality control, and process improvements.
• Communicate progress related to safety, production, risk, schedule, finance, and quality to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external contractors, equipment manufacturers, and support permitting, equipment selection, project scheduling, and cost estimation.
• Interface with local government, community relations, and regulatory bodies (DOT, OSHA, DNR).
• Supervise employees and develop project punch lists, validate milestones, and resolve field issues.
• Monitor construction quality through continuous QC processes.

• Work up to 10 hours of overtime per week.
• Work on weekends.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, outage, and combustion turbines.
• High School education required.
