About the Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coaching and leading warehouse associates. The Lead coaches and trains teammates to complete their daily tasks in addition to performing own duties. Depending on the department, responsibilities may include shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions, or material handling (e.g., forklift operations). The lead provides backup to the supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
  • Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment, load, unload, and store materials/products.
  • Complete applicable paperwork (shipping/tracking labels) per SOP and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.).
  • Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances to leadership.
  • Perform daily safety inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
  • Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
  • Communicate and report incidents to supervisor.
  • Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
  • Review and analyze daily production reports.
  • Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed. Other duties may apply.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred). Must pass background check and drug screen.
  • Minimum 2 years warehouse/distribution experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
