The Organization:
The Wisco Project is Wisconsin’s largest youth vote organization. We run large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize students across the state. In 2026, we will seek to build on the work of previous cycles to run our strongest program yet and score progressive victories for students across the state. This will be a crucial year for Wisconsin and we are in need of talented, dedicated staff ready to take on this challenge with us!
What Will You Do?
We are looking for a Special Programming Director to manage key programmatic priorities this Fall. The Special Programming Director will manage a defined portfolio of projects including Visibility, Competitive Districts, Special Events, and Distributed DVC. The Director will report to the State Director and should be a creative, experienced programmatic thinker who is passionate about mobilizing students this Fall. The role has a planned start date of mid-summer and will run through 11/15/26.
This position will be based in Madison, WI and requires a significant amount of in-person work. Supporter housing may be available.
- Manage a defined portfolio of programmatic priorities
- Plan and implement creative programming to expand reach and impact on campuses across the state
- Work collaboratively with leaders of other departments, including Organizing, Creative, Operations, Data, and Voter Access, as necessary to facilitate coordination and foster cohesion
- As necessary, manage staff and/or fellows assigned to special programming
- All other duties as assigned
Who Are You?
A successful candidate for this role will have:
- At least 2 cycles of campaign experience
- A track record of successfully developing and implementing original programming
Experience using organizing tools, including relational tools like Reach or Empower and texting platforms like Scale to Win or Thru Text. - Experience managing or staffing organizing or campaign events
- Experience working collaboratively across departments and working with external partners are strongly preferred
Job Details: Compensation for this role is $7,000/month plus benefits. This is a full time role.
