Responsibilities
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
  • Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
  • Maintain inventory consistent with the requirement for the various departments
  • Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
  • Monitor inventory for accuracy
  • Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
  • Supervise stock order procedures
  • Work closely with the service manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
  • Provides technical assistance when necessary
  • Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Enforce safety requirements
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Create a yearly budget and plan to ensure department profitability
  • Implement department efficiencies
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years prior managerial experience
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manage time
  • Proven follow‑up and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information and instructions
  • Superior communication and customer service skills.
