The General Supervisor, Service Parts is responsible for the operational activities of the Service Parts business located in Kohler, Wisconsin. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager – Distribution, this role coordinates all Service Parts initiatives and drives the operations to meet market needs. The Supervisor communicates and recommends modifications to established objectives, policies, and procedures, and keeps the Service Parts business leadership informed through regular reports reflecting production results, labor availability, and changes in operating requirements.
The focus is on continuous improvement in production and labor utilization to ensure that quality parts are made available in a cost‑effective manner to meet customer demands in a timely manner, while maintaining safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics. The General Supervisor leads a team of unionized associates with a focus on engagement, coaching, and development.
- Manage the implementation of production methods, standards, and techniques to ensure that parts and part kits are built and shipped correctly and on time.
- Plan and implement adjustments to staffing levels to maintain labor effectiveness and meet schedule adherence goals.
- Direct operations to ensure product quality and support safety initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by leading efforts to improve operational efficiency and the use of labor and materials.
- Create and implement a strategic plan for delivering short‑ and long‑term goals for the Service Parts Operations area.
- In consultation with Human Resources, administer the collective bargaining agreement and labor relations policies, employment standards, personnel practices, and procedures; discipline and counsel associates.
- Build a strong team to enhance the effectiveness of the Service Parts Operations group.
- Review department budgets with Accounting as directed by the Sr. Manager, Distribution.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance productivity, job performance, personal growth and overall effectiveness of the Service Parts group; evaluate training effectiveness through knowledge gains, quality feedback, warranty ratings, and customer satisfaction.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and, when necessary, elevate issues to management.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of comprehensive process documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Required:
- Associate Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of prior production leadership experience.
- At least 5 years of prior experience in operational or supply‑chain management.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four‑year college or university in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related technical field.
- Well‑rounded exposure to manufacturing, business development, marketing, human resources, and finance.
- Entrepreneurial spirit—a self‑starter with an internal drive to identify and create new business opportunities.
- Prior experience leading unionized associates.

BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $81,500 – $124,400, and the position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
