Manufacturing Engineer, Production Manager

Our client is experiencing rapid expansion within its fabrication division, driven by major data centre work and nationwide demand. To support this acceleration, the business requires structured manufacturing leadership to solidify workflow, efficiency, and production scalability before growth multiplies further.
We are seeking a Director of Manufacturing to assess, structure, and scale fabrication operations within a light manufacturing and assembly focused environment. The Director of Manufacturing will introduce lean discipline, measurable KPIs, and production flow improvements while building capability across the team and preparing the operation for sustained expansion.

- Base salary from $150,000 to $160,000 plus performance based bonus, 401k match, and ESOP participation
- Leading fabrication, assembly, machining, detailing, and shipping functions to meet cost, quality, and timeline targets
- Conducting a full operational assessment and implementing structured workflows, KPIs, and accountability systems
- Embedding Lean Manufacturing principles to improve production flow, reduce waste, and increase consistency
- Developing budgets, forecasting performance, managing P and L accountability, and protecting profit margins
- Collaborating cross functionally with operations, electrical division, business development, and customers to align growth strategy with manufacturing capability
- 10 plus years of leadership experience in project based manufacturing, fabrication, CNC, heavy machinery, minerals, coal, or assembly focused environments
- Strong expertise in lean implementation, process optimisation, workflow design, and production scalability
- Demonstrated experience translating drawings, specifications, and estimates into executable manufacturing plans
- Proven ability to lead teams, hold individuals accountable, and build trust across varied personalities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or technical discipline with strong financial and commercial acumen
Full time on site role based in Appleton, Wisconsin within a fabrication and light manufacturing environment.
