Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in paper conversion, is seeking a Forklift Maintenance Mechanic to join their dedicated team. As a Forklift Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the maintenance department supporting the operational efficiency of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, proactive troubleshooting abilities, and a safety-first mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?
- Perform routine maintenance on all powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) including forklifts, roll clamps, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, following manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal performance and safety of equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections of PIVs to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory for each piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize repair tasks, minimize downtime, and ensure safety compliance.
What's Needed?
- Experience maintaining forklifts and roll clamps, including knowledge of FL types and roll clamp operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, light replacements, greasing, and fluid checks.
- Excellent record-keeping and communication skills to document maintenance activities accurately.
- Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
