Machine Assistant

Join Amcor – Appleton and play a key role in producing high-quality packaging that makes a global impact. You’ll assist on a machine, ensure safety and quality standards, and contribute to a team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Work a 12‑hour shift on a 2‑2‑3 night shift schedule with three day weekends every other weekend. You work half the month, which means half the year.

• Starting pay based on experience, beginning at $23.48 per hour + $1.20 per hour night shift premium

• Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities
• Read and comprehend production order specifications and requirements of scheduled customer orders
• Complete all required paperwork
• Perform quality assurance checks and flag any defective material
• Input accurate data into computer systems and use Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Keep the facility clean by following a 5S schedule and be an active participant in all initiatives
• Cross‑train in departments and on machines as needed

• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
• Willingness to learn and grow in your role
• Passion for safety, quality, and a high‑performing culture

• Work 12‑hour days while walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting
• Lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs
• Perform visual inspections using measurement devices and identify and distinguish colors
