Job description:
Noble-X, Inc is seeking a weekend CNC machinist with a primary focus on large horizontal mills for our growing companies. Our weekend shift operates on three 12‑hour shifts Fri‑Sun, with an extra 4 hours added to each week to achieve 40 hours. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high‑quality parts and components. This is a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring precision and efficiency in our production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications
- Read and interpret customer supplied blueprints, technical drawings, and internal work orders and job processing travelers
- Program machines using CAD/CAM software
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and ensure parts adhere to company’s standards and exceed customer expectations
- In‑Process inspection of parts as well as finished products for quality and accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
- Strong experience in editing G and M code as well as understanding machine controls
- Proficiency in programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment used in machining operations
