CNC Mill Set Up Machinist

• Required Degree:
  High school

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experience in a relevant role
• Understanding of CNC mill operations and familiarity with Mazatrol programming
• Ability to perform tool offsets without supervision and assist with machine setup/tool changeovers
• Must be able to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and handle raw materials
• Math competency that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, trigonometry, and algebra
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers,  OD micrometers, height stands, depth gauges, thread gauges, and calipers
• Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
• Manual dexterity: ability to sit, stand, kneel, squat, and bend/twist at waist as required to perform essential job functions
• Computer skills: familiarity with offline CNC programming software and experience with Microsoft Excel

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC mills following setup sheets and a machine schedule.
• Identify and install tooling, select programs, and run/perform offsets.
• Perform tool/machine changeovers and assist with light equipment maintenance as needed.
• Load raw materials, unload finished products, and maintain job/product traceability.
• Record finished product dimensions utilizing calibrated measuring equipment.
• Perform inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement.
