CNC Lathe Machinist - 2nd or 3rd Shift 1
Location:
Wisconsin, US
Shift: 2nd shift, with 1st shift training.
Job Summary: This position is in the Lathe Department and involves moving from one machine to another as needed when workload shifts. The machines could include 2- and 3- axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar feeders. The role will perform complex machine operations, including setup, programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements, reading and editing G & M code, performing first-piece and in-process quality inspections, running different grades of material, and performing multiple setups a day.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T preferred
- Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge
- 3 to 5 years of CNC machining operation setup and programming experience preferred
- Knowledge of 2- and 3- axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar Feeders is preferred
- Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material
- Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and noise level
