Position Title: Quality Technician
Wage: $22.00 - $23.50/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 1:00pm - 9:30pm

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Monitor production process
- Test and interpret raw materials and work-in process for adherence to customer specifications and company quality standards
- Inform production of any adjustments needed
- Analyze final products with all required tests for product approval and perform various in process laboratory tests
- Ensure proper aseptic sample methods for microbiological samples
- Assist with handling samples submitted for microbial analyses and order creation for the external laboratory
- Calibrate lab instruments and equipment to specified standards and ensure lab cleanliness according to GMP or GLP as required
- Organize and maintain all required paperwork and documentation
- Navigate Doc Box and become proficient in SAP for results entry and release
- Perform assorted tasks assigned by the QC Lab Manager (e.g. Sample Preparation)
- Maintain clean supply of glassware to perform all required testing
- Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies and inform person responsible for ordering
Requirements for Quality Control Technician:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field or at least two years of experience in a laboratory environment
- Previous experience in a GMP environment is beneficial
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as standard operating procedures, equipment manuals, and blend formulas
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from colleagues in an appropriate manner
- Ability to interpret testing results and follow SOP document for appropriate action
- Ability to operate a variety of lab equipment and instruments and a variety of office equipment
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel as well as database programs
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio, percentages and volume using metric equivalents
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
