Job Description
Provide management of materials and equipment capacity relating to planning customer requirements, purchasing raw materials, and monitoring production orders to meet inventory objectives, customer delivery expectations, operational efficiencies, and company objectives.

Responsibilities- Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities.
- Manage all purchase orders for raw material films/resin; check lead times and ready dates for customer ship dates.
- Maintain purchase orders on internal and external PO logs and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Update SAP as needed and manage SAP messaging and act accordingly.
- Determine disposition of film identified on monthly old and obsolete stock inventory reports and manage raw material inventory levels first in, first out (FIFO).
- Prepare monthly charts on aged inventories and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate transfer of required raw materials among plant operations where required.
- Work closely with corporate procurement in securing required materials from other plants as needed to support the production schedule.
- Assist in resolution of materials inventory location problems.
- Enter orders and data in SAP as needed to support customer orders and production schedules.
- Work with resin handlers on resin issues and coordinate with railroad on inbound and outbound needs.
- Oversee material management for the facility to include new production to meet production schedules and confirm order acknowledgement.
- Manage raw material requisitions for each order and manage oversize stock usage and allocations.
- Manage raw material claim management, data entry, communication and closure.
- Oversee raw material schedules and coordinate scheduling of the material with the production scheduler.
- Participate in production meetings that would directly impact the material planner.
- Provide updates to departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) on a regular basis.
- Actively participate in a WCOM team to support cost‑saving and process improvement initiatives and lead WCOM teams as requested.
- Act as a back‑up to other materials planning positions and schedule as needed.
- Establish and control min‑max inventory levels for purchased and BPP manufactured raw materials for specialty films and resins.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with customer service, manufacturing, inter‑plant customers, other planners and co‑workers.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills to handle large volume of paper flow and determine appropriate priorities.
- Strong math and typing skills.
- PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and ability to learn new software programs.
- Ability to identify and propose possible solutions to production.
