Job Description / Role and Responsibilities
Join a premier material handling manufacturer to build cutting-edge industrial systems and automated machinery. In this role, you will perform the mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and related equipment in a high-efficiency production facility. You will collaborate closely with assembly leads and entry-level technicians, leveraging a team-oriented approach to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality machinery.
- Execute the physical assembly of conveyor systems and complex mechanical equipment according to exact technical specifications.
- Interpret industrial blueprints and mechanical schematics to guide precise component alignment and placement.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Assembly Leads and support entry-level team members to ensure production schedules are met.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment to complete builds safely and accurately.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical alignment issues during the build process, utilizing a collaborative team approach to problem-solving.
- Maintain strict adherence to manufacturing safety guidelines and quality control standards throughout the daily assembly lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in the conveyor manufacturing industry or a closely related industrial machinery sector.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to accurately read and interpret technical blue prints. - Tools & Software: Mastery of basic hand and power tools, precise measurement instruments (e.g., tape measures), and basic computer literacy (
Microsoft Word
, Excel
). - Physical Demands: Capability to stand, bend, or climb short ladders for a minimum of 8 hours a day, and safely lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Work Schedule: Commitment to working a minimum of 40 hours per week in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Core Competencies: Strong ability to follow instructions, work independently or dynamically within a team, and adapt quickly to shifting production priorities.
