An innovative advanced technology company operating within the nuclear and medical isotope sector is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a highly regulated production facility.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and operational performance. The successful individual will play a critical role in scaling production capability, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining world-class nuclear safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of facility operations, ensuring production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within quality and cost targets.
  • Oversee plant performance metrics including production yield, equipment uptime, cycle times, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage daily activities across production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure operational continuity and adherence to approved procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, productivity, and cost optimisation.
  • Maintain compliance with NRC regulations, nuclear safety requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Act as a key point of contact during regulatory inspections, audits, and licensing activities.
  • Own corrective action and operational improvement programs, including root cause analysis and resolution of deviations.
  • Oversee supply chain, inventory, logistics, and material management activities supporting facility operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams while fostering a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with engineering, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams to support production and customer delivery objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of operations leadership experience within a highly regulated industrial, nuclear, radiological, chemical, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture, regulatory compliance, quality systems, and operational excellence principles.
  • Experience managing budgets, production schedules, maintenance programs, and cross-functional operational teams.
  • Demonstrated success operating within safety-critical environments with direct accountability for production, quality, compliance, and performance outcomes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to interface effectively with executive leadership, regulators, and technical teams.
