Schedule:
First shift four 10‑hour shifts, Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM. From Summer 2026, shift will transition to second shift (Monday–Thursday 1:00 PM–11:30 PM). Please note that this plan may evolve.
- Pay starting at $30.25/hour
- Pay premium $3.00 per hour for night shift hours (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
- $1,500 sign‑on bonus
Job Summary
We are hiring a Team Lead for our new cheese manufacturing facility in Chilton. The role leads and supports Production Associates, ensuring safe, efficient, high‑quality operations across production, processing, and distribution. The Team Lead coordinates daily activities, provides direction and coaching, drives performance, and ensures compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment; perform critical processes, quality testing, and sanitation.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Contribute to process improvements and partner with operations and engineering to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement; uphold Grande’s standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Pasteurizer and Cheesemaker license.
- High School Diploma or GED; 2‑year associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of dairy manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of required processes and ability to anticipate and make decisions independently.
- Leadership skills: communication, training, conflict management, delegation, multi‑tasking, decision making.
- Ability to comprehend technical instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form.
- Strong math, reading, and writing skills.
Physical Demands
Regularly lift and move objects weighing 20–50 lbs; frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing; exposure to vibration, extreme temperatures, high humidity, and loud machinery.
