Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the maintenance of all plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment while working safely in a climate‑controlled shop. Your work powers machine reliability and drives process improvements across our plant.
Position is a night shift (7 pm–7 am) on a rotating weekly schedule with every other weekend off.
Responsibilities- Maintain plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
- Perform electrical work with 120, 220, and 480 V.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, and PLCs.
- Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
- Repair gear reducers and packaging equipment.
- Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, pumps, and general building needs.
- Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection.
- High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment.
- OR Vocational certificate in Mechatronics.
- OR 2‑year technical degree completed.

Hager City is one of our two factories in Wisconsin—located across the Mississippi River from Red Wing, Minnesota, and about 250 miles from our headquarters in Jefferson. Our dedicated associates produce all the wet and dry coatings for our pet food brands nationwide, making this location’s support vital to our operations.
PayThe approximate hourly pay rate for this position is $36.38 per hour, including a shift differential for night shifts. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
