Schedule:
Monday – Thursday, Four 10-Hour Days
Hours:
Standard 1st Shift Schedule with Overtime as Needed Friday Overtime:
Typically 6:00 AM – 11:30 AM, allowing for extended weekends
Saturday Overtime:
Occasional and based on workload
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for assembling conveyor systems and related mechanical equipment while providing guidance and support to a small team of assemblers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, leadership skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
This position works closely with production leadership and project teams to ensure equipment is assembled accurately, safely, and on schedule. We value teamwork, problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Essential Responsibilities Lead and support a team of 1–3 Mechanical Assemblers.
Assemble conveyor systems and related mechanical equipment according to drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Assist with troubleshooting assembly issues and identifying process improvements.
Coordinate daily tasks and priorities with production leadership.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assemblies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem solving.
Assist with additional production and assembly tasks as needed.
Qualifications Previous mechanical assembly experience required.
Prior leadership or lead assembler experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting others.
Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including overtime as needed.
