CNC Programmer

Our client company is seeking a Direct Hire for an experienced Offline CNC Programmer to join our team. This position is responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for machining centers and turning centers using Gibbs

CAM software. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to support production through efficient programming and troubleshooting.

• Create and modify CNC programs using Gibbs
  
  CAM software
• Program machining centers and some turning centers offline
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes
• Optimize cycle times and improve manufacturing efficiency
• Work closely with machinists, setup technicians, and engineering staff
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues on the shop floor
• Verify program accuracy and ensure parts meet quality standards
• Maintain organized program documentation and revision control
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer required
• Strong working knowledge of Gibbs
  
  CAM programming software required
• Experience programming CNC machining centers and turning centers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Understanding of tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
• Familiarity with various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
