We work onsite with our team based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Juneau, Wisconsin. Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four‑legged friend.

We have Quality Technician positions available on first and second shift.

First Shift: Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Second Shift: Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Overtime and weekend work may be required.

What you’ll Do

The Quality Technician is responsible for providing initial support to Receiving, Manufacturing, and Shipping for quality‑related issues that arise. The Quality Technician also performs product and process audits throughout the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Responds to radio calls to help identify and document non‑conforming product.
  • Performs floor audits to verify part quality, in‑process quality, and assists in process improvements.
  • Troubleshoots particularly complex or troublesome production problems; e.g., manufacturing process variation.
  • Collects and disposes of scrap, as appropriate.
  • Trains team members on standard work instructions and procedures, ensuring effective results.
  • Prepares and maintains efficiency, scrap, and test data for review.
  • Assists with product Quality Assurance testing.
  • Assists the Quality Engineer with new product introductions.
  • Supports and participates in process improvement activities.
  • Demonstrates the willingness and ability to perform all functions of the process including, but not limited to, assembly, Quality Control Analysis, pack‑off, shipping, and recon of the product.
  • Communicates between departments and shifts, sharing pertinent information to optimize plant results.
  • Performs all duties, specified and otherwise, in a safe, constructive manner.
  • Will perform additional responsibilities when required.
What you Bring
  • High school education or a two‑year technical degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • An excellent attendance record is required because the department is small and impactful.
  • Must have MS Word, Excel, and/or Google Suite experience.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must be an efficient worker who is organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Able to manage time effectively, with minimal oversight.
  • An ability to provide and accept coaching, direction, and feedback in a constructive manner.
  • A willingness to hold oneself and others accountable to standards and expectations.
  • Able to follow directions, use hand and power tools.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast‑paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions.
  • A high degree of initiative, self‑motivation, and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues.
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs).
Not Required but Nice to Have
  • Quality Technician experience in a high‑volume production environment, preferably within consumer electronics.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Improvement Associate.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt Certification.
  • Not required to have pets, but highly recommended.
  • Previous experience in plastic injection molding and printed circuit board manufacturing.
