Overview
Plan, control, and coordinate production, warehousing, and inventory activities for a branch plant, ensuring balanced inventories, procurement coordination, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Analyze customer orders and sales forecasts to prepare plant production and inventory plans.
- Review actual plant performance against sales and production plans and recommend corrective actions to align results with plans.
- Direct production control activities, ensuring balanced inventories and scheduling of production and purchase releases.
- Manage shipping, warehousing, production scheduling, and inventory control for raw materials and finished goods.
- Direct purchasing activity for expense items and maintain vendor relationships to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Resolve discrepancies related to items that fail incoming quality standards.
- Champion CMS material control principles and develop systematic cycle‑counting procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Prepare capacity‑planning analyses and recommend additional capacity purchases when necessary.
- Assist in developing and maintaining computerized production/inventory control systems and supervise their operation.
- Direct warehousing activities and ensure adherence to governmental safety, health regulations, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical or business field.
- Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum two years of experience successfully supervising a team.
- Preferred SAP experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and CPIM certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MRP master data set‑up, production versions, routings, warehouse management, inventory management, production activities, and RF transactions.
