Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with strong shop floor experience to support manufacturing operations by driving process optimization, productivity improvements, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Time Studies, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis, with a proven ability to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste in production environments.
Key Responsibilities- Study assembly lines and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Perform Time Studies and Line Balancing, including:
- Video-based time studies
- Analysis of stations and operator activitiesVA/NVA/RNVA analysis
- Current-state line balancing
Muri (overburden) analysis - Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify bottlenecks, waste, inefficiencies, and capacity constraints.
- Conduct capacity analysis and establish current process baselines
- Identify process and productivity improvement opportunities and prepare Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 improvement recommendations with implementation roadmaps.
- Develop, revise, and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Video Work Instructions.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality issues, defects, downtime, and process failures, and support corrective actions and Kaizen initiatives.
- Assist in fixture design and manufacturing process improvements based on operational requirements.
- Collaborate with production, quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to implement sustainable improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Mandatory:
Strong hands‑on shop floor manufacturing experience. - Expertise in Time Study and Line Balancing methodologies.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Strong background in process optimization and productivity improvement.
- Knowledge of VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, capacity planning, and Muri analysis.
- Experience creating and updating Standard Work Instructions and process documentation.
- Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience supporting Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to support fixture design and manufacturing process enhancements.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
