Filtration Operator – Darlington, Wisconsin (US) – Operations & Manufacturing – 40+

The Filtration Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating and monitoring membrane filtration systems to produce high-quality dairy ingredients. This role ensures optimal filtration performance while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and operational standards.

Reporting To:
Manager of Production or Shift Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor membrane filtration systems (ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, microfiltration)
  • Execute filtration processes following SOPs and production schedules
  • Monitor key process parameters such as flow rate, pressure, temperature, and concentration
  • Make adjustments within defined limits to maintain performance and quality
  • Complete production records, batch documentation, and quality checks accurately
  • Perform routine inspections and basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Conduct CIP/COP cleaning and sanitation activities for filtration systems
  • Support maintenance activities in coordination with maintenance teams
  • Communicate process updates and issues across shifts
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem‑solving initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred)
  • Experience in food, dairy, or chemical manufacturing preferred
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, and written instructions
  • Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards is an asset
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Detail‑oriented, reliable, and accountable
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Team‑oriented with strong communication skills

This role is part of the Production team and works closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure efficient and consistent filtration processes. Success in this role requires collaboration, strong communication, and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
